About JL
My name is JL Candelaria, and it stands for Jenny Lorraine. You can call me JL or Jenny. JL is my signature trademark, which you will see on the bras and panties that I design.
Originally from Arizona, plenty of sunshine is essential to my well being! I live in S.W. Colorado where the sun shines year round, and has ways of warming me on even the coldest day. My son True, however, warms me from the inside out. I have been fortunate enough to stay at home with him since his birth in 2008. He is a happy boy who fills each of my days with joy. With that said, it is True’s dad Gabe, who contributes most to the rewarding and passionate life I lead. He is the primary source of all inspiration that moves me to action, as well as, the notion to which the greatest love I have ever known was born.
Why Nursing Bras?
I happen to believe in wearing clothes that are comfortable and complimentary to both my body and personality, and I don’t think that nursing bras are an o.k. exception to my belief!
The nursing bras that I wore while breastfeeding True broke all the rules. They didn’t fit well, were not comfortable, and definitely were not attractive. I understood the importance of bras that went up to my neck the first couple weeks after having True, but did I really need to wear those for an entire year? I kept asking myself that question as I searched for a more “me” nursing bra. I was not successful in my quest for a “me” nursing bra, and hardly found it necessary to wear one that went up to my neck! What I did find, was that once my milk supply balanced out, I could almost get away with wearing my pre-baby bras. If only they could adapt to breastfeeding! So, everyday since deciding that a “me” bra would work, I have been working toward solving the problems I faced. I want moms around the world to have the option of buying bras that we like for the purpose of breastfeeding our babies. Bras that are comfortable, attractive, and complimentary to our bodies and personalities. With the hope that the products offered will soften the challenges of breastfeeding enough to help us realize our breastfeeding goals. We have plenty of challenges while breastfeeding without having to add “bad underwear” to the mix! Despite all the challenges that breastfeeding brought me, I was determined to give True the best possible start in life by nourishing him with my breast milk. I loved nursing him, but I would have loved it more had I felt good in my underwear. Hence: Love yourself, celebrate your body, and nourish your baby. Pretty-Bras for Nursing Moms is here to help.
Products
This company is in its very baby beginnings. Operation began in January of 2009. All designs are in the prototype stage of the manufacturing process. Products will be made with quality fabrics and samples will be exhibited at Trade Shows in 2012. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
